INDIA VS AUSTRALIA 2nd TEST DAY 2

AUSSIES FIRED  AT THE SWAMY ARMY WITH ALL GUNS BLAZING

Every one expected India to start tightly at start of day 2's play but when Zaheer gave away couple of easy runs in the first over of play, Clarke and Ponting settled well at the crease both were scoring quick runs.

Day 2 of Sydney test looked like a ODI for 90 overs in traditional white dress. Dhoni started to field defensively straight after  10 overs of play. There were only two slips in place and there was deep point and deep square leg also in place at initial hours of play itself. With this kind of field setup Evan an Australian great grand father can score a century.

Aussie batsmen took advantage of it and started scored convincingly. Before lunch Clarke got into three figure mark and Ponting straight away after lunch. This is Ponting's 40th century which he scored after test matches.

After lunch 8 to 10 overs only were bowled by seamers   after that Ashwin and Kohli started to bowl with twenty overs are there for new ball due. When Indians got the new ball, Ishant struck for them by getting rid of Ponting for 134. Then soon after spinners got the 20 overs old ball and bowled till the end of play. Meanwhile Ishant dropped a chance on his own bowling of Clarke by utilizing it he went on to score his maiden double ton of his career. Clarke's new partner Hussey started positively and scored fifty in quick time.

Clarke batted positively through out his innings with punishing the bad ones. Through out today's play India had only few shouts for asking out. Aussie fans cheered Indian bowlers when their conceded  runs got passed the three figure mark, Ashwin, Zaheer and Ishant got this opposite honour. At the end of day's play Australia were 482/4 with Clarke batting at 251* and Hussey at 55* .

Australians are likely to win this test unless Indian batsmen come up with a splendid batting display but remember still there are full 3 days of play left in this test.
