AUSTRALIA VS INDIA DAY 4 OF SECOND TEST

USUAL COLLAPSE MADE IT EASY FOR AUSTRALIA

Indian pair Gambhir and Sachin walked to the crease with lots of hope on them. They batted really well this morning, Gambhir added another fifteen runs under his name and got out off a leading edge from Siddle's bowling. Then Laxman joined with Sachin in the middle.  This pair looked solid in defense and scoring in right deliveries. Both of them scored a fifty.

Sachin was in great touch, every one thought that this is the historical moment of 100th ton but Sachin missed again by edging a sharp turned one from Clarke's bowling to Hussey at first slip. He was got out just two overs before the new ball due. He got out at when he was at 80. Kohli walked to the middle to join Laxman but well settled  Laxman got bowled by an unplayable little away swinger from Hilfenhaus of a new ball for 66. These two wickets paved the way for another Aussie victory.

Dhoni failed to carry on his good run from first innings, he got out by a caught and bowl by Hilfenhaus for 2. Kohli followed his captain to walk back to pavilion by suffering a lbw from Pattinson for 9. Then Zak and Ashwin joined to strike the Aussie bowling to all over the ground. They both scored 56 runs in partnership. Zak got out by giving a catch to marsh on a short ball from Siddle. He scored 35 from 36 balls.

Ashwin batted really well with accompany from Ishant. But Ishant also got out to a leg before wicket from lyon's delivery which spun back to him. Ashwin scored a fifty before getting out of a short ball Hilfenhaus who grabbed a another 5-wicket haul. Ashwin scored 62 which made India to get a total of 400. Ashwin is the second leading run scorer for India just behind Sachin.

India suffered a successive 6th overseas loss after losing to England 4-0 last year. India have lost to Australia successively for the second time at SCG.

INDIA VS AUSTRALIA DAY 3 OF SECOND TEST

SOLID BATTING DISPLAY IN THE PINK TEST

Clarke and Hussey continued their dream run against tired Indians. There was no change in the Indian bowling as well as in Australian batting. Hussey scored his 15th test ton of his career before lunch. Dhoni offered spinners to bowl long spells , they contained the scoring rate of the Aussie batsmen but they failed to take wickets.

After lunch Clarke scored his triple ton with a blistering boundary. He reached 300 with a strike rate of over 70 and continued his own style of batting after that too, meanwhile Hussey got his 150. At exactly half  a day passed i.e., at drinks break of second session there came the surprised declaration from Clarke when Australia were 659/4 and leading India by 468. Clarke: 329* Hussey: 150*. Clarke scored first triple century at Sydney and also his first as captain. This is the first time that a team has produced two successive 250+ partnership. Clarke has took captaincy to next level by an unselfish declaration.

Indian openers came to the middle, with huge pressure on his shoulders Gambhir started off positively by striking a boundary of second ball of the innings. But Sehwag got out when he was 4  by slashing one of Hilfenhaus bowling which was caught stunningly by Warner at point. Gambhir continued his best batting by driving the ball splendidly, Dravid stood solid by defending every ball on to him and scoring only in boundaries.

Hilfenhaus bowled a beautiful inswinging ball which broke Dravid's solid defense and went on to disturb the timber fourth time in this series including a no ball bowled. He got out at 29. Sachin came to the crease with a standing ovation. From then Gambhir and Sachin for out. Haddin dropped a catch from Gambhir behind the wicket. At stumps on day 3 India were 114/2 and trailing Australia by 354 with Gambhir and Sachin batting at 68* and 8* respectively.

INDIA VS AUSTRALIA 2nd TEST DAY 2

AUSSIES FIRED  AT THE SWAMY ARMY WITH ALL GUNS BLAZING

Every one expected India to start tightly at start of day 2's play but when Zaheer gave away couple of easy runs in the first over of play, Clarke and Ponting settled well at the crease both were scoring quick runs.

Day 2 of Sydney test looked like a ODI for 90 overs in traditional white dress. Dhoni started to field defensively straight after  10 overs of play. There were only two slips in place and there was deep point and deep square leg also in place at initial hours of play itself. With this kind of field setup Evan an Australian great grand father can score a century.

Aussie batsmen took advantage of it and started scored convincingly. Before lunch Clarke got into three figure mark and Ponting straight away after lunch. This is Ponting's 40th century which he scored after test matches.

After lunch 8 to 10 overs only were bowled by seamers   after that Ashwin and Kohli started to bowl with twenty overs are there for new ball due. When Indians got the new ball, Ishant struck for them by getting rid of Ponting for 134. Then soon after spinners got the 20 overs old ball and bowled till the end of play. Meanwhile Ishant dropped a chance on his own bowling of Clarke by utilizing it he went on to score his maiden double ton of his career. Clarke's new partner Hussey started positively and scored fifty in quick time.

Clarke batted positively through out his innings with punishing the bad ones. Through out today's play India had only few shouts for asking out. Aussie fans cheered Indian bowlers when their conceded  runs got passed the three figure mark, Ashwin, Zaheer and Ishant got this opposite honour. At the end of day's play Australia were 482/4 with Clarke batting at 251* and Hussey at 55* .

Australians are likely to win this test unless Indian batsmen come up with a splendid batting display but remember still there are full 3 days of play left in this test.

REVIEW ON DAY 1 OF 100th SYDNEY TEST

ANOTHER FLOP SONG SUNG BY THE INDIAN BATTERS

Historical 100th test at Sydney between Australia and India started on tuesday. Dhoni won the toss and decided to have bat first on fine conditions to bat. Both teams were unchanged from their last test. Indian top order expected to enjoy the batting conditions. But at the third ball of the day Gambhir got out to Pattinson's shaping away good length ball caught by Clarke at first slip.

Dravid came out to the crease, he was looked unsettled at the middle. He was just hung in their for thirty  deliveries and got out to Siddle by looking to flick the ball to leg side. Few deliveries later Sehwag went to pavilion by nipping one full length ball to Haddin of  Pattinson's bowling.

SCG's big fish Laxman came to bat but he lasted for eight balls and gave away his wicket to Pattinson. With wickets are trembling at on end Sachin looked promising at other with his classic batting touch. India were 72/4 at lunch. Kohli made 23 before Siddle getting him out with a beautiful little bouncy out swinger.

Sachin was striking at his best and Dhoni was looked in a defensive mood. Sachin went to drive a full pitched delivery from Pattinson but that ball got inside edge of his bat and went on to disturb the stumps. India were 124/6 at that time.

Ashwin and Dhoni put on a fifty run partnership but soon after that Ashwin got out by a leading edge. Zaheer gave his wicket at very next ball to Hilfenhaus off a short ball. Ishant also got out in the same fashion as Zaheer to Hilfenhaus's short ball. Meanwhile Dhoni scored his maiden fifty at Australian soil.
When Indian score was 191 Yadav got out to Siddle which was his 100th wicket in tests. Dhoni was not out at 57*.

Australians came to bat in the 3rd session, Zaheer gave India a break through at first over by getting out of dangerous Warner for 8 caught by Sachin after it was bounced from Laxman's Hands. Again Zaheer took Marsh's wicket in next ball for a golden duck. Zak missed his  Hat trick chance.

After few deliveries Zaheer struck, he made Cowan to walk back to pavilion by  a leg before wicket.
Clarke and Ponting made unbeaten 79 run partnership which rescued Australia from 37/3.At stumps Australia were 116/3 trailing India by 75 runs.

As overcast conditions are expected tomorrow it will help Indians to get some quick wickets. Indians must keep on putting pressure on Aussies by bowling tight full length  and not giving easy runs. For Australia, they must keep on batting for the whole day if they get about 250 runs of lead they can look for an Innings victory.

INDIA VS AUSTRALIA NEW YEAR TEST PREVIEW

As  Australians were leading the four match test series 1-0 with a 122 run margin against Indians at MCG last week, second test starts on Tuesday at Sydney which is going to be the 100th test to be played  at SCG.

Australians were high on confidence after winning the first match and they are looking forward to win the test at SCG to regain their winning run.  SCG curator said that the pitch was prepared in a way to help both the teams. Hussey on a interview said that Sydney deck has less grass when compared to the past SCG pitches so it can help spinners to get some purchase of it. Clarke announced that unchanged team is likely to play  at Sydney.  First two days of the test, pitch is expected to support seamers and batting is going to be tough at early hours of play. Batting is still a worry for Australia because their top order fail to get a solid start. If Australian openers get off to a good start then Aussies will have greater chance to win the test.

SCG is one of the Sachin's happy hunting ground where he scored three centuries including a double ton. Sachin averages massive 221.33 at Sydney along with him  Laxman and Ponting also averages in high sixties at SCG. Rohit is likely to replace Kohli on second test . If India's openers gets off to a good start then other batsmen can easily capitalise on it. Indian Bowlers are likely to replay their performance that they showed at MCG but they should clean up the tail as fast as they can. If Indian batters can able to show their classy touch in batting then India can surely square the series.

Dhoni warns Australia by saying that "India aren't finished yet". Indians are expected to bounce back at Sydney and if they do win at SCG then surely they won't lose test series. Medias are go on praising on Australian pace attack these things removes pressure on Indians this will help Indians to bounce back easily. Mcgrath predicted that Australia will win the test series by thrashing  India 4-0. All predictions are in favour of Australians but India have potential to break those predictions. Hope for best Indian fight back at SCG. Mark my words India's winning streak starts here at Sydney.

Dravid got bowled by a beautiful delivery from Hilfenhaus on the  first over of the day for a score of 68. Then Laxman came to the crease, he was not seemed to be in good touch. He walked back to the pavilion after nipping back one from the bowling of  Siddle.

Kohli arrived to the middle but not stood for a long time. Hilenfaus,  by pitching fuller got rid of kohli. Again bad form for Dhoni in Australia continues after he was caught by Hussey at gully of Hilfenhaus bowling for a score of 6.

While wickets were trembling at one end Ishant showed some character and hung in there for a long time. Ashwin showed his batting ability by scoring runs at the other end.

Hilfenhaus continued his best run by getting rid of Ishant and finishing with his career best figures of 5/75. Zaheer was bowled by pattinson and siddle took Ashwin's wicket who scored a handy 31.  India all out for 282.

Australian openers arrived to the middle after lunch  for their second innnings with a lead of 51 over India

Yadav struck early to get rid of top three batsmen of Australia. He bowled Warner and Marsh of an inside edge. Ed Cowan got out by LBW of Yadav's delivery with came back to him. Australia was reduced to 3/24.

Australian skipper Clarke was got out for seventh time to Ishant's bowling this time by an inside edge. Australia was struggling at 4/27. out of form Hussey came to the middle to bat along with Ponting. They scored a century partnership, both scored fifty a piece.

Zaheer was brought back to the attack, he took two crucial wickets of Ponting who again scored a sixty and Haddin for six which brought India to the game after a vital partnership.

Yadav got rid of Siddle after he nipped one back to Dhoni. Ashwin after a long spell got Lyon out of a carom ball which reduced Australia to 8/166. At stumps of day 3 Australia were 8/179 and they  got a important lead of  230.

At day 4 India should get those remaining wickets quickly without giving much runs and start batting positively. On Australian side, they must try to score some 50 or 60 runs and should get early wickets while bowling to have the upper hand in this game. This game is going to produce a nail biting finish .

REVIEW ON DAY 2 OF BOXING DAY TEST

Swamy army on day 2 completely took control over the Aussies with both batting and bowling at the MCG.

Zaheer continued his best form that he gained on  2nd  session of day 1. He completely outplayed the Australian lower order batsmen by getting out of  Haddin and Siddle.

But Pattinson showed some resistance for about fifty balls but Ashwin took the responsibility to clean up the Australian tail with a score of 333 on first innings.

Indian openers came to bat. Sehwag started off in his own typical style but Gambhir walked to pavilion by nipping one back to Haddin of  Hilfenhaus bowling after scoring only three runs.

Few words were exchanged in the middle between Pattinson and Sehwag  just after Pattinson tried to hit Sehwag with his elbow while going for a run.

Dravid and Sehwag batted brilliantly but Sehwag got bowled of an inside edge of Pattinson's delivery after scoring a good fifty. Sehwag crossed 8000 runs in tests during his en route to sixty five.

Then the little master came to bat with huge roaring and expectation. Sachin and Dravid both scored fifties. Sachin scored more quickly than Dravid.

Siddle bowled Sachin at last over of the day for seventy three. Yet again Sachin failed to score his hundredth ton. Ishant walked into middle as the night watchman.

On day 3, India must take a lead of at least 200. but  Aussies should toiled hard to bowled out India soon.
